This show is dedicated to emotional sobriety - the next step in your recovery. Dr. Berger and the Monty'man will take you step by step through an intellectual, emotional and spiritual process that will help you take this next step in your recovery.
Bill Wilson first wrote about the concept of emotional sobriety in a letter to a depressed friend in 1956. Bill shared with this depressed AA member much of what he had learned about himself and what caused his depression. Bill's penetrating insights into his basic flaw which he described as an "almost absolute dependency - on people or circumstances to supply me with prestige, security, and the like" sets the stage for this show. Dr. Berger and the Monty'man will help you learn how to better regulate your own emotions, to stand on your own two feet, and how to rely more on your higher power to unhook your emotional dependency upon people or circumstances.
